QUESTIONS
How much does an AJR retainer cost?
How does payment work?
This is a common misconception, and a critical mistake a lot of businesses make. The investment in hardware alone generally makes this unfeasible. Then trying to find truly skilled talent you can afford. And then there’s this: even the most creative employees can go dry trying to market the same product or service over and over (and over) again. That’s why having a skilled, unbiased eye involved with your messaging keeps you fresh and relevant, and take the pressure off an already stressed staff. Won’t I save money by just doing all my marketing in-house?
What if we already have a marketing department?
In-house marketing teams love working with us, and we love ‘em right back. Assuming your brand is in place, we’ll write, direct and create film & video, but stay away from your placement. We’ll conceive and shoot photography, but won’t weasel our way into your print. An AJR retainer can truly elevate your current marking department for essentially the cost of a single employee.
A basic monthly AJR retainer package usually costs the same, or less, that a single mid-level marketing hire, and that number represents straight wage - it does not reflect any additional employee taxes, healthcare, vacation or other additional employee costs.
Who decides what’s in a marketing campaign?
It all starts and ends with your Brand Book, a 20 - 60 page treatise which positions your business identity in stone. If you don’t have one, we’ll develop it together. Then, our Creative Director & Social Media Director put together copy & boards along with strategy, including some back and forth with your people to make sure it’s exactly what you had in mind. If you have an in-house marketing department, they may or may not have an initial idea, but in any case we’ll work closely with them to insure continuity of branding & messaging.
Most retainer clients set up Direct Deposit to make it easy. We also accept Checks, Cash App & Venmo, PayPal, Wire Transfer, and of course all Major Credit Cards. Oh, and loose cash in a paper sack is always nice.
